The region saw 19 new COVID-19 cases over the past week, although experts are telling people not to let their guard down as vaccinations continue and new case rates drop.

The area defined by the Wisconsin Heights School District had three new cases. The death toll remains the same at 10. The Sauk Prairie School District area had 16 new cases. The death toll there is seven.

Area-wide that means at least seventeen residents have died from COVID-19.

Vaccinations continue, with 20 percent of Sauk County residents completing their vaccine treatment. In Dane County, 21 percent have completed their vaccine treatment.

The Wisconsin Heights School District reported no new cases. The Sauk Prairie School District had two.
