Co-op hockey team falls in sectional semis

A terrific season came to an end for Sauk Prairie’s co-op hockey team on Feb. 21.

Host Verona raced to a 5-0 lead and toppled the Eagles, 7-1, in a WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal. Sauk Prairie’s co-op — which also includes players from Mount Horeb, Wisconsin Heights and River Valley — finished the year 18-5-2.
