They’re expecting several shows to sell out.
The show is rated PG and handles the nitty gritty of high school life with candor and humor.
Director Faith Fehlen, on her 3rd production, says “the bond is strong” with the cast. She said she’s “letting [the cast] explore a world that is tangible,” while at the same time honoring the stories of the characters. Fehlen says “I hope our audiences leave having felt uncomfortable, challenged with items to discuss further on their way home, and also full of hope, joy, and encouragement to embrace the beautiful differences that make us all stronger together.”
Mya Henne plays Regina George’s character. She says her character has “a power to manipulate those around her, but she’s still a human being and has feelings.”
Sydney Groshek plays Katie Heron. According to the Groshek, her character “changes throughout the show,” and is the “new kid” who’s kind of popular.
Cora Schaefer portrays Janice. She says her character is “edge, friendly, [and] sassy” but with a certain sincerity. The character is “a lot of fun to portray.”
Jill Statz works behind the scenes backstage, and sways she most enjoys “contributing to the show and making [it] happen.” She said this production might include the use of a projector which would take the place of having to paint sets. Statz enjoys hanging out with other people during productions and enthusiastically tells people “Join the Drama Club!
“Mean Girls—High School Version” also stars Dylan Buge, McKindsey Cymbalak, and Abigail Whitefish.
