Village of Prairie du Sac electric utility donates to community organizations

Village of Prairie du Sac Municipal Electric Utility, in collaboration with WPPI Energy, recently donated a total of $1,500 to local community organizations.  The Good Neighbor Clinic, My Neighbor in Need, Sauk Prairie Bar Buddies and the Sauk Prairie Food Pantry were each presented with funds to assist the mission of their organizations. 

Village of Black Earth charges resident $74 to see documents about her own property

A Black Earth resident is facing a $74.50 charge for copies of public records concerning her property. The Village said the request will require 1.5 hours of work. Municipalities can charge for such requests, but can provide copies free or at a reduced cost as well.

Correction: Town of Mazo caucus is January 20th

The Town of Mazomanie will hold a caucus for the 2020 spring election on January 20 at 6:30 p.m. The positions of supervisor, chairman, treasurer, and clerk are up for reelection. Supervisors Stan Beuthin and. Dan Behringer are up for reelection.

Village of Black Earth receives money from FEMA, Dane County Grant for Community Park

Dane County officials presented a $122,663 FEMA check to local officials at Black Earth Village Hall last week. The funds will be used to help cover expenses related to last year’s heavy rains and flooding.
