Army to hold last minute Badger meeting

The Army is planning to hold its next RAB meeting as a virtual meeting on May 7 at 6 p.m.  This RAB is being conducted virtually to maintain social distancing as required by Wisconsin’s Stay at Home order and protect the health of the community during the COVID-19 response.

County Executive Parisi Declares State of Emergency for Dane County until at least July 15th

Dane County will remain under an Emergency Declaration until at least mid-summer County Executive Joe Parisi announced today. In consultation with Public Health Madison-Dane County, Parisi is extending the order currently in place until at least July 15th.

Dane County joins in lawsuit in defense of Safer At Home Order

Three Dane County executives with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services have filed a non-party brief with the Wisconsin Supreme Court in support of Governor Tony Evers’ extension of the “Safer At Home” order that keeps much of the state’s economy shut down until late May.

Corrections

In last week’s issue, Dane County Board member Michele Doolan’s first name was expelled incorrectly in the headline.

In the same issue, the turnout percentage for the town of Mazomanie was incorrect. It should have read 54.2 percent.

Local residents’ compliance with order begins to slip

Despite a month of increasing deaths in their counties, Dane and Sauk County residents are relaxing their compliance with the Safer at Home order, according to data from the University of Maryland. The University used anonymized and aggregated location data from mobile devices and other sources.
