Those seeking intelligent spy novels infused with both drama and humor should give one of Kate Atkinson’s recent novels a try.  “Transcription” was published in 2018 and is set in London in the mid-1900s.  Like many of the author’s other works, it combines history with intrigue and drama.

“Recursion” is a novel by Blake Crouch that kept popping up on my radar since its publication last year.  I joined the many readers who enjoyed his thrilling bestseller “Dark Matter” in 2016 and looked forward to reading more of his work.
