A furious defensive effort got Sauk Prairie’s girls basketball team off to a great start in a Badger North Conference last Friday night.

The Eagles were able to turn numerous Baraboo turnovers into transition points and secure their first conference victory of the season.

Eagles’ hockey team rolls


The Sauk Prairie co-op hockey team cruised past Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells last Friday.

On ‘Rock the Rink’ night, the Sauk Prairie Area Recreation Center Ice Arena was packed and ready for a matchup between two of the leading contenders for the Badger North Conference boys’ hockey title. 

Sauk Prairie’s co-op hockey team didn’t waste any time letting the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells Cheavers know whose home ice it was.

Wisconsin Heights’ girls basketball game entered its game with Johnson Creek last Thursday on a two-game losing streak. But the Vanguards put an end to that with a 67-24 destruction of visiting Johnson Creek.

STOUGHTON — It’s never a good sign when your starting point guard enters the court on crutches.

That was the situation when Sauk Prairie’s boys basketball team played its first road game of the season at Stoughton on Dec. 3 with senior Ben German sidelined with an ankle injury.
