Sacramento police urgently search for at-risk woman missing from Rose Street

Published on

Sacramento, California – A routine Sunday afternoon has turned into an urgent search in Sacramento, where a 57-year-old woman has not been seen since leaving the Rose Street area.

Police say every passing hour matters because Thuy Nguyen is considered at risk due to a mental health condition. Investigators are now asking residents to look closely at her description and report any possible sighting immediately.

Nguyen was last seen at approximately noon on July 13, 2026, in the 3900 block of Rose Street, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Authorities have not released information about where she may have been heading or how she may have left the area.

She is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 110 pounds. Nguyen has black-and-white hair and black eyes.

At the time she disappeared, she was wearing a black sweater over a yellow short-sleeved shirt, black sweatpants and white house slippers. Those clothing details may help residents, drivers and nearby business owners recognize her, particularly if they were in the Rose Street area around midday on July 13.

The circumstances surrounding Nguyen’s disappearance have not been disclosed. Police have only said that her mental health condition places her in the at-risk category, increasing concern for her safety and well-being.

Community assistance can be especially important in missing-person cases. Someone may have noticed Nguyen walking through a neighborhood, entering a business, waiting near a roadway or traveling away from Rose Street without realizing that police were searching for her.

Residents in and around the 3900 block are encouraged to think back to the hours surrounding noon on July 13. People with home security cameras, doorbell footage or business surveillance video may also have information that could help determine which direction Nguyen traveled.

Anyone who has seen Thuy Nguyen, believes they may have encountered her or knows where she is should contact the Sacramento Police Department immediately. Even a detail that appears minor could help officers narrow the search and bring her home safely.
