Sacramento, California – Dinner plans in Sacramento’s Westlake neighborhood are about to get a little more interesting. With four local food vendors, music and a community gathering on the calendar, residents will have an opportunity to enjoy an evening outdoors without having to choose just one place to eat.
And this time, the neighborhood park will be the destination. Families, friends and neighbors are being invited to come together for an evening built around food, conversation and community connections.
Sacramento City Councilmember Lisa Kaplan has announced that Westlake Food Truck Mania will take place Wednesday, October 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Westlake Community Park, located at 4700 Westlake Parkway in Sacramento.
The event is being held in partnership with SactoMoFo, bringing a selection of local food trucks to the neighborhood for a three-hour gathering.
Kaplan shared her excitement about the upcoming event and encouraged Westlake residents to attend with their families and neighbors. The gathering will feature food from local vendors alongside music, creating a welcoming environment for people of different ages.
Four food businesses have been announced as part of the lineup.
Taco lovers can look forward to La Bangin’ Tacos Birrieria, while barbecue enthusiasts will have the opportunity to visit Allen BBQ & Burgers, also identified as Legendary BBQ.
Those interested in something sweet can stop by The Mini Donut Shack. Namaste Foods will also participate, adding another option to the evening’s food selection.
The variety of vendors gives attendees an opportunity to explore different food choices at one location. Music will accompany the event, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere that organizers are promoting.
Westlake Food Truck Mania also offers a simple opportunity for residents to spend time together outside their usual daily routines. Rather than requiring a trip to several different dining locations, the gathering brings participating food businesses into one neighborhood space.
Kaplan’s invitation emphasizes that the event is meant for the wider community, not just individual food lovers. Residents are encouraged to invite their neighbors and make the evening a shared experience.
“Bring your family, invite your neighbors, and come hungry! I look forward to seeing you there,” Kaplan said.
The event is scheduled to conclude at 8 p.m. on October 21.
