Sacramento, California – Sacramento County residents now have a redesigned way to reach county services from their phones, as the County launches an updated 311 Connect Mobile Application built around simpler navigation, stronger security and a more unified online experience.
The new app keeps the familiar purpose of 311 Connect in place: helping community members reach services and submit requests when issues arise. But the experience has been refreshed from the screen up, giving residents a cleaner, more modern tool for connecting with the County while on the go.
At first glance, users will notice a new visual style. The updated mobile application includes a refreshed color palette, revised graphics and Sacramento County branding throughout. Navigation has also been reorganized, with the goal of helping residents locate the services they need more quickly rather than searching through a less familiar layout.
The update is more than cosmetic. Sacramento County has aligned mobile app authentication with the 311 Connect web portal, bringing both platforms under the same account experience. A Sacramento Countywide user profile will now power access to both the app and the website, creating one consistent path for residents who may submit requests from a phone at one moment and return to them online later.

That connection follows the County’s earlier improvement of the online 311 Connect portal, which was launched with a focus on easier service request management and more secure access. With the mobile app now updated as well, the County is bringing those features together across devices.
The application also arrives with a timely new reporting option: residents can now report illegal fireworks directly through the mobile app. The added service request type gives users another way to contact the County from wherever they are, using the same mobile platform already designed for other community concerns.
Residents who already have the 311 Connect Mobile Application installed will need to manually update it through the App Store or Google Play. Once the update is installed, users signing in for the first time will be asked to authenticate through their Sacramento Countywide profile.
For existing users, the transition is designed to preserve what matters most. Mobile app service request history will automatically transfer into the updated application, meaning residents will not have to start over or lose track of matters they previously reported. Instead, they can continue using the app with their earlier requests still available.
The County’s 311 service remains a central point of contact for non-emergency county needs. Through 311 Connect, residents can request services online, track submissions and access information related to County programs. The service can also be reached by calling 311 or (916) 875-4311.
The upgraded app is part of a broader effort to make those connections easier. The portal also introduces Cami, Sacramento County 311’s new digital assistant, designed to help users find information and move through the service experience more smoothly.
With the newly updated mobile application, Sacramento County is placing a more polished and secure version of 311 Connect directly into residents’ hands. For those already using the app, the next step is simple: install the update, sign in through the Countywide profile and continue connecting with County services from wherever assistance is needed.
